INTRODUCTION
Çanakkale Mining properties are located in the Biga Peninsula. The Biga Peninsula lies within the metallogenic belt that trends northwest into Greece,Macedonia, and Serbia and consists of porphyry, skarn, and carbonate replacement base metal deposits associated with Tertiary granitoid intrusions, Au-Ag and Pb-Zn ±Cu mineralization related to Tertiary volcanics. Tens of known Zn-Pb occurrences and deposits are know nin the Biga Peninsula. These are occured in Tertiary volcanics, and in the Palaeozoic and Mesozoic sediments both distal and proximal to the Tertiary intrusives. |
